Lianne said she “read an article by the company president” and decided Anglocom was the place she wanted to work. So she submitted a (very impressive) application to be an intern—and wound up with more than she bargained for!
Her plan was to intern for the summer, then do a master’s in translation to complement her graduate diploma. Our plan (when we saw how good she was) was to keep her at the office. Her background in advertising as a proofreader at Rethink in Vancouver shone through. We also appreciated her strong hand in theater and music, which seemed to infuse her writing with effortless beauty.
The long and short of it is that Lianne stayed on after her first three months as an intern in 2015 and is now a permanent member of our staff. To our relief and the ongoing benefit of our clientele.
