Anglocom president Grant Hamilton will be making two presentations at the annual conference of the American Translators Association (ATA), taking place in Washington, DC, October 25 to 28, 2017.
His first presentation will be on the preconference training day, Tuesday, October 24. At ATA’s special request, Mr. Hamilton will be leading a three-hour session on editing advertising copy translated into English from other languages.
As part of the regular conference program, Mr. Hamilton will also be presenting a workshop entitled “Translating for Canada.” It will take a look at what translators need to know to service the Canadian market and provide answers to questions such as “How does Canadian English differ from U.S. English?” and “Can I use European French for a Canadian audience?”
