Anglocom president Grant Hamilton will be making two presentations at the annual conference of the American Translators Association (ATA), taking place in Washington, DC, October 25 to 28, 2017.<\/p>\n
His first presentation will be on the preconference training day, Tuesday, October 24. At ATA’s special request, Mr.\u00a0Hamilton will be leading a three-hour session on editing advertising copy translated into English from other languages.<\/p>\n
As part of the regular conference program, Mr. Hamilton will also be presenting a workshop entitled \u201cTranslating for Canada.\u201d It will take a look at what translators need to know to service the Canadian market and provide answers to questions such as \u201cHow does Canadian English differ from U.S. English?\u201d and \u201cCan I use European French for a Canadian audience?\u201d<\/p>\n
Founded in 1993, Anglocom provides translation, copyediting, copywriting, and proofreading services, primarily in English and French but in other languages, too. Its client list includes financial institutions, leading retailers, government agencies and ministries, travel service providers, high tech and manufacturing firms, and over 60 advertising and public relations agencies.<\/p>\n
