French-to-English Translator

Is this you?

  • Although a native speaker of English, you have had a lifelong love affair with French and are fluently bilingual.
  • You have a keen understanding of the wealth and nuance of language and are noted for being a stylish writer.
  • You have broad general knowledge and enjoy working in a variety of subject areas.
  • You have a university degree in translation or equivalent studies.
  • You are a certified translator or are willing to undertake certification.
  • You are friendly and affable and enjoy being part of a team.
  • You identify easily with clients’ needs and are happy to provide solutions.
  • It is important to you to learn and grow on the job while garnering respect for your abilities.

We are looking to add two new staff members and have the flexibility to consider various levels of experience. So whether you are a recent graduate, have several years to your credit, or are looking to move into a senior editor role, we welcome your application.

 

At Anglocom we serve a varied and prestigious roster of clients from many walks of life—financial institutions, government ministries, leading retailers, advertising agencies, the tourism industry, cultural organizations, and many others.

 

This is a full-time, salaried position. Preference will be given to candidates willing to live and work in Quebec City, although we will also contemplate work-from-home arrangements. Anglocom offers a wide range of benefits and a stellar work environment.
